Common use of Discrimination Clause in Contracts

Discrimination. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, harassment or coercion exercised or practised with respect to any employee by reason of age, sex, race, colour, creed, national or ethnic origin, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, disability, conviction for which a pardon has been granted, religious or political affiliation, by reason of Union membership or activity, nor by exercising their rights under the Collective Agreement.

The Employer Corporation and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, harassment coercion or coercion intimidation exercised or practised practiced with respect to any employee in the matter of hiring, wage rates, training, upgrading, promotion, transfer, lay-off, recall, discipline, discharge or otherwise by reason of race, age, creed, colour, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex, race, colour, creed, national or ethnic origin, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, disability, conviction for which a pardon has been granted, religious or political affiliation, nor by reason of Union his membership or activity, nor by exercising their rights under activity in the Collective AgreementUnion.
