District of Columbia Provisions. 11.13.1 The characteristic of the soil of the Land, as described by the Soil Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the Soil Survey Book of the District of Columbia (area 11) published in July 1976, and as shown on the Soil Maps of the District of Columbia at the back of that publication, is Urban Land. For further information, Purchaser may contact a soil testing laboratory, the District of Columbia Department of Environmental Services or the Soil Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The foregoing is set forth pursuant to requirements of the District of Columbia Code and is not intended, and shall not be construed as, limiting the conditions set forth herein with respect to Purchaser’s right to make investigations, tests and studies satisfactory to it. 11.13.2 In accordance with the requirements of Section 3(g) of the District of Columbia Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990, as amended by the District of Columbia Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990 Amendment Act of 1992 (the “Act”), Seller has informed Purchaser, and hereby re-informs Purchaser, that Seller has no knowledge of the existence or removal, during Seller’s ownership of the Property, of any underground storage tanks at or from the Property. This disclosure notice was provided to Purchaser prior to entering into this Agreement.

  • District Approval The work completed herein must meet the approval of the District and shall be subject to the District’s general right of inspection and supervision to secure the satisfactory completion thereof.

  • Territories The Agreement territory is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia, only. It does not include Canada or U.S. Territories including Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • DISTRICT RIGHTS 3 It is understood and agreed that the District retains all of its powers and authority 4 to direct, manage and control to the full extent of the law. Included in, but not limited to, 5 those duties and powers of the District are the right to:

  • Laws References to any statute or regulation are to be construed as including all statutory and regulatory provisions related thereto or consolidating, amending, replacing, supplementing or interpreting the statute or regulation.

  • District Responsibilities With respect to all sums deducted by the District pursuant to authorization of the employee, whether for membership dues or equivalent fees, the District agrees promptly to remit such monies to the Association together with an alphabetical list of unit members for who such deductions have been made, categorizing them as to membership or non-membership in the Association, and indicating any changes in personnel from the list previously furnished.

  • State The State of Connecticut, including the Department and any office, department, board, council, commission, institution or other agency or entity of the State.

  • District The public agency or the school district for which the Work is performed. The governing board of the District or its designees will act for the District in all matters pertaining to the Contract. The District may, at any time: 1.1.23.1 Direct Developer to communicate with or provide notice to the Construction Manager or the Architect on matters for which the Contract Documents indicate Developer will communicate with or provide notice to the District; and/or 1.1.23.2 Direct the Construction Manager or the Architect to communicate with or direct Developer on matters for which the Contract Documents indicate the District will communicate with or direct Developer.

  • State Laws i. Subrecipient shall, unless exempted, ensure compliance with the requirements of Cal. Gov. Code §11135 et seq., and 2 CCR § 11140 et seq., which prohibit recipients of state financial assistance from discriminating against persons based on race, national origin, ethnic group identification, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, color, or disability. [22 CCR § 98323] ii. Subrecipient’s signature affixed hereon shall constitute a certification, under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California, that Subrecipient has, unless exempted, complied with the nondiscrimination program requirements of Government Code Section 12900 (a-f) and Title 2, California Code of Regulations, Section 8103. iii. Subrecipient shall include the nondiscrimination and compliance provisions of this Paragraph 48 “A” in all sub-contracts to perform work under this Contract.

  • State of California Public Liability and Workers’ Compensation Program A. The Judicial Council has elected to be self-insured for its motor vehicle, aircraft liability and general liability exposures. B. The Judicial Council administers workers’ compensation benefits for its employees through a Third Party agreement.
