Common use of Division Days Clause in Contracts

Division Days. Division Days shall be designated by the appropriate xxxx. Three (3) of the five (5) days may be utilized as individual preparation days during each year. The remaining days shall be designated by the appropriate xxxx as specified in, but not limited to, the list below. Full-time faculty are required to attend xxxx-scheduled Division days. Division Days already served prior to Orientation Week and approved by the xxxx shall be recognized as part of the one hundred seventy-four (174) day contract year in 2017-18, and part of the one hundred seventy-six (176) day contract year beginning in 2018-19. a. Preparation activities. b. Regular curriculum development work. c. Division retreats. d. College governance activities. e. Institutional committees. f. Special student activities. g. Equipment and capital planning. h. Operational budget planning. i. Student advising. j. Other appropriate professional duties. k. Special projects which may include: i. Activities required for establishing new program starts. ii. Preparation of special instructional areas requiring inventory and equipment planning. iii. Development of grant proposals. iv. New program identification. v. Development or adaption of instruction software. vi. Development of laboratory, experiential- or service-learning activities or curricula. vii. Development of course curriculum and/or support services for proposed new programs. viii. Other appropriate projects.
