Donating to Catastrophic Leave Bank. An employee may request in writing to the Police Chief or designee that a specified number of hours of accrued annual leave, holiday, compensatory time, or sick leave be transferred from their account to the account for catastrophic sick leave. The minimum number of hours which may be transferred is eight (8) hours. Any Hours transferred from an employee's account to the catastrophic sick leave account may not be returned or restored to that employee. This section, however, does not prevent an employee from receiving leave from the "bank".
