Drug and Alcohol Testing Permitted. Where the Employer has reasonable suspicion to believe that an employee is then under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs during the course of the workday, the Employer shall have the right to require the employee to submit to alcohol or drug testing as set forth in this Agreement. The Employer or his designated representative must certify their reasonable suspicions concerning the affected employee prior to any order to submit to the testing authorized herein. There shall be no random or unit-wide testing of employees, except random testing of an individual employee as authorized in Section below. The foregoing shall not limit the right of the Employer to conduct such tests as it may deem appropriate for persons seeking employment as employees prior to their date of hire.
