Dues and Assessments. (a) The Employer shall deduct from the wages of each employee in the bargaining unit, an amount equal to the regular dues payable to the Union by a member of the Union. As a condition of continued employment, each employee shall provide the Employer with written authorization to make such deductions. Deductions shall be made monthly and remitted to the President of the Union no later than the 15th day of the subsequent month. The Employer shall also provide the Union with a computer diskette in computer language which shall convey the information set out below in the following format: Social Insurance Number Last Name and First Name Address Dues Amount Gross Wages In addition, the Employer will provide change of address information when they receive such advice from the employee. (b) Before the Employer is obliged to deduct any amount under (a) above, the Union shall advise the Employer in writing of the amount of its regular monthly dues. The amount so advised shall continue to be the amount to be deducted until changed by written notice to the Employer signed by the President of the Union. Upon receipt of such notice, the changed amount shall be the amount deducted.
