Common use of Dues Collection Clause in Contracts

Dues Collection. 3.01 The Company agrees that the check off of Union dues and initiation fees or amounts equivalent thereto shall be made on a bi weekly basis from the wages of the employees of the Company and all shall so authorize the Company. Monies so collected will be remitted to the Union not later than the 25th day of the following calendar month. Employees will also be required to obtain and maintain membership in good standing in the Union provided that for the purposes of this Agreement, such membership in good standing shall be entirely satisfied by the regular payment of Union dues. The Union shall hold the Company harmless with respect to all dues so deducted and remitted and with respect to any liability which the Company might incur as a result of such deduction and remittance.
