Teacher The term, “teacher,” shall mean all persons in the appropriate unit employed by the School District in a position for which the person must be licensed by the State of Minnesota, but shall not include superintendent, assistant superintendent, principals and assistant principals who devote more than 50% of their time to administrative or supervisory duties, confidential employees, and such other employees excluded or included by law.
DRESS 6.1 Players shall be required to provide and wear their own playing shirts for the Event (“Event Shirts”); which must be worn throughout the Event and in any promotional work associated to the Event with dark smart trousers and plain black shoes/smart black sneakers. No waistcoats (vests), bow ties, denim jeans, t-shirts, jackets or sports shoes will be permitted. a) The Player will be entitled to wear a maximum of 4 (four) logos (for their own benefit and remuneration) on their Event Shirts ("Player Logos") throughout the Event. Player Logos must not exceed 7.5 cm x 5 cm (3” x 2”) or 6 square inches and shall not be permitted to be positioned on the left-chest of each Players Event Shirt or above or below the Event Logo. The Player shall submit to the Promoter no later than 1 (one) week before the first day of the Event details of the Player Logo’s for approval; b) Player logos shall include all logo’s, for the avoidance of doubt logos of federation’s and billiards clubs shall be included in the 4 logos permitted. Player country flags and names shall not be included as a logo; c) the Promoter shall have absolute discretion to disallow a Player the wearing of any Logo that, in the opinion of the Promoter, conflicts with the Event, Promoter, Sponsors, Broadcasters of the Event; d) the Promoter shall reserve the right, to be exercised in its sole discretion, to require the Player to display in addition to the above, a minimum of 1 (one) logo on the Event Shirts to be positioned as instructed by the Promoter for the sole use and exploitation by the Promoter (“Event Logo”); e) the purpose of this clause is not to act as an unfair restraint of trade or otherwise prevent the Player from earning a living.
TEACHER RIGHTS X. Xxxxxxxx to Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, the Board hereby agrees that every employee of the Board shall have the right freely to organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under the color of the law of the State of Michigan, the Board undertakes, and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 or other laws of Michigan or the Constitutions of Michigan and the United States; that it will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages or any term or condition of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association, his/her participation in any activities of the Association or collective professional negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this or otherwise with respect to terms or conditions of employment. B. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any teacher, rights he/she may have under the Michigan General School Laws, or applicable civil service laws and regulations. The rights granted to teachers hereunder shall be deemed to be in addition to those provided elsewhere. C. The Association and its representatives shall have the right to use school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings, provided that when special custodial service is required, the Board may make a reasonable charge therefore. No charge shall be made for use of school rooms before the commencement of the school day or until 6:00 p.m. X. Xxxx authorized representatives of the Association and their respective affiliates shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations. E. The Association shall have the right to use School facilities and equipment, including typewriters, computers, copiers and all type of audio-visual equipment, calculating machines and data projectors and smart boards at reasonable times, when such equipment is not otherwise in use. The Association shall pay for the cost of all materials and supplies incidental to such use. F. The Association shall have the right to post notices of activities and official Association business on teacher bulletin boards, at least one of which shall be provided in each teacher’s lounge. The Association shall determine what constitutes official Association activities and business. The Association may use the district mail service, electronic mail and teacher mailboxes for communications to teachers. Administration cannot guarantee confidentiality of electronic correspondence. Electronic correspondence must comply with the acceptable use policy and may be subject to FOIA request protocol. G. The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to written requests all available information concerning the financial resources of the district, including but not limited to: annual financial reports and audits, register of certificated personnel, tentative budgetary requirements and allocations (including County Allocation Board budgets), agendas and minutes of all Board meetings, treasurer’s reports, census and membership data, names and addresses of all teachers, salaries paid thereto and educational background, and such other information as will assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed and constructive programs on behalf of the teachers, together with information which may be necessary for the Association to process any grievance or complaint. H. The Board may consult with the Association on any new or modified fiscal, budgetary or tax programs, construction program, or major revision of educational policy, which are proposed or under consideration and the Association may be given opportunity to advise the Board with respect to said matters prior to their adoption and/or general publications. I. The teachers shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship and no religious or political activities of any teacher or the lack thereof shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the professional employment of such teacher. Consistent with the Code of Ethics of the Educational Profession, the private and personal life of any teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board. J. The provisions of this Agreement shall be applied without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national origin, disability, age, gender or marital status. K. The rights granted herein to the Association shall not be granted or extended to any competing labor organization. L. The Board shall place on the Agenda of each regular Board meeting as one of the first items or consideration under “New Business” any matters brought to its consideration by the Association so long as those matters are made known to the Superintendent’s Office by 4 o’clock of the Thursday evening prior to the regular meeting.

Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
Application of Funding Techniques to Programs 6.3.1 The State shall apply the following funding techniques when requesting Federal funds for the component cash flows of the programs listed in sections 4.2 and 4.3 of this Agreement. 6.3.2 Programs Below are programs listed in Section 4.2 and Section 4.3.
TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, visits that other State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other State on any remuneration for such teaching or research. 2. This Article shall not apply to income from research if such research is undertaken primarily for the private benefit of a specific person or persons.
Research Primary Investigator as part of a multi-site study (25 points) • Co-Investigator as part of a multi-site study (20 points) • Primary Investigator of a facility/unit based research study (15 points) • Co-Investigator of a facility/unit based research study (10 points) • Develops a unit specific research proposal (5 points) • Conducts a literature review as part of a research study (5 points)
DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK
TEACHER EVALUATION A. The administration will be evaluating the teacher’s performance within the time of formal responsibility. The evaluation process and form will be shared with the Association Building Representatives at the beginning of each school year. (a) Probationary teachers shall be evaluated at least two (2) times a year. The first evaluation will be completed prior to December 1st and the second prior to April 15th. Each evaluation will be based upon announced, unannounced, informal observations, on the performance of other duties and responsibilities and the goals developed in the Individualized Development Plan (IDP). The announced and unannounced observations should be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes in length. The observations may occur at anytime prior to the development of the written evaluation, but at least one of them must be planned in consultation with the probationary teacher. The results of formal observations will be discussed with the teacher in a timely manner. The information gathered during the observations will be used to write the evaluations. (b) Tenured teachers will be evaluated on a rotating schedule, but no less than once every three- (3) years. The administration reserves the right to evaluate a tenured teacher more often. The evaluation will be based upon announced, unannounced, informal observations and on the performance of other duties and responsibilities. The announced and unannounced observations should be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes in length. The observations may occur at any time prior to the development of the written evaluation, but at least one of them must be planned in consultation with the tenured teacher. The results of formal observations will be discussed with the teacher in a timely manner. The information gathered during the observations will be used to write the evaluations. 2. The administrator shall prepare and submit a written evaluation and recommendations to the teacher prior to May 30th of the year they are evaluated. The administrator shall hold a conference with the teacher to discuss the written evaluation and recommendations. 3. Upon receipt of the evaluation the teacher will sign the form indicating his/her receipt of the report. The signature on the form does not constitute his/her approval unless specifically noted. 4. Teachers involved with the instruction of Advanced Placement courses will be evaluated. This evaluation in the first year will be made part of the formal evaluation only at the request of the teacher. B. A teacher who disagrees with the content or procedure of evaluation may submit a written answer which shall be attached to the file copy of the evaluation in question and/or submit any complaints through Level 4 of the grievance procedure. C. If an administrator believes a teacher is doing unacceptable work, the reasons shall be set forth in specific terms. Included will be examples of specific ways in which the teacher is to improve and assistance may be given by the administrator and other staff members. In subsequent conferences it shall be the responsibility of the individual teacher to inquire whether adequate improvement has taken place. D. Monitoring and observation of the work performance of the teacher shall be conducted openly. The public address or audio system or similar types of communications will not be used for the purpose of evaluation. E. The Board and the Association recognize that the ability of pupils to progress and mature academically is a combined result of the school, home, economic and social environment and that teachers alone cannot be held accountable for all aspects of the academic achievement of the pupil in the classroom. Test results of academic progress of students shall not be used as the sole determinant or in isolated instances to evaluate the quality of a teacher's service or fitness for retention. F. All communications, including evaluations by Milan Administrators, commendations, and documented complaints directed toward the teacher which are to be included in the personnel file shall be made available for review of the teacher prior to placement in the file; a copy of any such communication will be provided to the teacher at this time. Pre-placement information such as confidential credentials, letters of reference from universities, individuals, or previous employers are exempt from such review. A written statement for inclusion in the personnel file may then be made by the teacher in regard to materials that were not signed by the teacher. A representative of the Association may accompany the teacher. G. Ordinarily, observations of teachers shall not be for less than a full class period or for the duration of a particular teaching lesson.
