Duration of Leave and Compensation. Leave of any such EMPLOYEE shall be authorized for a total of no more than ten (10) days during any school year for illness contracted or injury incurred from such causes as prescribed above. A maximum of ten (10) days can be used for an injury or accident. The tenten (10) days will be available for one (1) calendar year from the date of injury. However, in the case of sickness or injury occurring under such circumstances as in the opinion of the BOARD warrants it, additional emergency sick leave may be granted for such term and under such conditions as the BOARD shall deem proper.
