: Economic Reforms. Burundi has received a large volume of assistance from the international community in the context of its structural adjustment programme, which seeks primarily to help the Government reduce the role of the State in the economy, increase domestic savings, and reduce Burundi's dependence on external sources of assistance. In the area of budgetary policy, current operations ought to yield a greater surplus, and the overall budget deficit should be brought down to a level that will allow the State to improve its position vis-à-vis the banking system while increasing credit to the private sector. In the wake of the crisis which began on 21 October 1993, the economy collapsed, inflation accelerated, domestic savings remained negative, public investment declined significantly, and budgetary disequilibria reached unsustainable levels. Many of the accomplishments of the long adjustment period, such as the liberalization of currency regulations and the lowering of taxes, were lost. Some major reforms could no longer be pursued at the same pace, including the reform of public enterprises, liberalization of the coffee sector, promotion of coffee planters' associations and the development of areas other than coffee and tea.

  • Prescription Drug Quantity Limits We limit the quantity of certain prescription drugs that you can get at one time for safety, cost-effectiveness and medical appropriateness reasons. Our clinical criteria for quantity limits are subject to our periodic review and modification. Quantity limits may restrict: • the amount of pills dispensed per thirty (30) day period; • the number of prescriptions ordered in a specified time period; or • the number of prescriptions ordered by a provider, or multiple providers. Our formulary indicates which prescription drugs have a quantity limit. Types of Pharmacies Prescription drugs and diabetic equipment or supplies can be bought from the following types of pharmacies: • Retail pharmacies. These dispense prescription drugs and diabetic equipment or supplies. • Mail order pharmacies. These dispense maintenance and non-maintenance prescription drugs and diabetic equipment or supplies. • Specialty pharmacies. These dispense specialty prescription drugs, defined as such on our formulary.   • ECONOMIC ADJUSTMENT Beginning twelve (12) months after the effective date of this Statewide Contract and for every annual anniversary thereafter, the prices set forth in Exhibit B – Prices for Services shall be adjusted, based upon the percent changes (whether up or down) in the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) indices described below, for the most recent year. Economic adjustment will lag one (1) calendar quarter past the Contract commencement date to allow for publication of BLS data. All calculations for the index shall be based upon the latest version of data published as of one year of the effective date each year. Prices shall be adjusted on February 1st. If an index is recoded (i.e., the recoded index is a direct substitute for the prior index according to the BLS), this Statewide Contract will use the recoded index, as applicable. If an index becomes unavailable, Enterprise Services shall substitute a proxy index. If there is not a direct substitute, the next higher aggregate index available will be used. The economic adjustment shall be calculated as follows: New Price = Old Price x (Current Period Pricing/Base Period Index)

  • Menu of Labour Adjustment Strategies Where a work force reduction is necessary, the following labour adjustment strategies will be considered, as applicable.

  • Economic Cooperation 1. The Parties will encourage the utilization of cooperation instruments and mechanisms with a view to strengthen the processes of economic integration and commercial exchange. 2. The objectives of economic cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for trade and economic cooperation; and (b) to advance and strengthen trade and economic relations between the Parties. 3. The Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) dialogue about policies and regular exchanges of information and views on ways to promote and expand trade in goods and services between the Parties; (b) joint elaboration of studies and technical projects of economic interest according to the economic development needs identified by the Parties; (c) keeping each other informed of important economic and trade issues, and any impediments to furthering their economic cooperation; (d) providing assistance and facilities to business persons and trade missions that visit the other Party with the knowledge and support of the relevant agencies; (e) supporting dialogue and exchanges of experience among the respective business communities of the Parties; (f) establishing and developing mechanisms for providing information and identifying opportunities for business cooperation, trade in goods and services, investment, and government procurement; and (g) stimulating and facilitating actions of public and/or private sectors in areas of economic interest.

  • Step Movement During the period from September 1, 2009 through August 27, 2011, there shall be no non-probationary step movements, including any step movement provided for in other provisions of this Agreement. Step movement shall resume on August 28, 2011. Employees hired or promoted between September 1, 2009 and August 27, 2011 shall not receive a probationary step increase. Upon resumption of step movement, the employee’s step date shall be the employee’s date of hire or promotion. No retroactive movement shall occur for the two (2) years that have been skipped. Upon resumption of step movement, newly hired employees will move to the next step in their pay range after completion of their probationary period. In periods other than September 1, 2009 through August 27, 2011, newly hired employees hired on or after November 1, 2015 will move to the next step in the pay range after completion of one hundred eighty (180) days in active pay status, and every year thereafter provided the employee has successfully completed his/her probationary period.

  • Information Technology Enterprise Architecture Requirements If this Contract involves information technology-related products or services, the Contractor agrees that all such products or services are compatible with any of the technology standards found at xxxxx://xxx.xx.xxx/iot/2394.htm that are applicable, including the assistive technology standard. The State may terminate this Contract for default if the terms of this paragraph are breached.

  • CHILD AND DEPENDENT ADULT/ELDER ABUSE REPORTING CONTRACTOR shall establish a procedure acceptable to ADMINISTRATOR to ensure that all employees, agents, subcontractors, and all other individuals performing services under this Agreement report child abuse or neglect to one of the agencies specified in Penal Code Section 11165.9 and dependent adult or elder abuse as defined in Section 15610.07 of the WIC to one of the agencies specified in WIC Section 15630. CONTRACTOR shall require such employees, agents, subcontractors, and all other individuals performing services under this Agreement to sign a statement acknowledging the child abuse reporting requirements set forth in Sections 11166 and 11166.05 of the Penal Code and the dependent adult and elder abuse reporting requirements, as set forth in Section 15630 of the WIC, and shall comply with the provisions of these code sections, as they now exist or as they may hereafter be amended.

  • Working and Labor Synergies The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a tranquil working relationship between the Contractor work force, the Contractor Parties and their work force, State employees, and any other contractors present at the work site. The Contractor shall quickly resolve all labor disputes which result from the Contractor's or Contractor Parties’ presence at the work site, or other action under their control. Labor disputes shall not be deemed to be sufficient cause to allow the Contractor to make any claim for additional compensation for cost, expenses or any other loss or damage, nor shall those disputes be deemed to be sufficient reason to relieve the Contractor from any of its obligations under the Contract.

  • CONSUMER PRICE INDEX ADJUSTMENTS 20.1 The Licence Fee payable by the Licensee will be adjusted automatically each year, on 1 July, in accordance with the official Consumer Price Index (CPI) as published by Statistics South Africa.
