Election of Chair and Vice Chair. At the annual meeting to be held each to be held on the first Monday of December January, the first six members of the Board shall elect a Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. The current seventh member shall not vote on any matters before the board at the annual December meeting.

Election of Chair and Vice Chair. 3.1 The first Chair and Vice Chair of the RISIS Board after signing this Agreement shall be the Leader of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and the Chief Executive Officer of Carmarthenshire respectively
Election of Chair and Vice Chair. The Representatives shall elect from their number a Chair and Vice-Chair who shall hold office for a period of 12 months. The Chair (or Vice-Chair in his place when the Chair is unable to attend a CC meeting) shall chair all CC meetings.
Election of Chair and Vice Chair. The Chair of the Governing Board, shall conduct all meetings of the Governing Board and perform such other duties and functions as required of such person by provisions of applicable law, this Agreement, the Bylaws or by the direction of the Governing Board. The Vice Chair shall serve as Chair in the absence of the Chair and shall perform such duties as may be required by provisions of applicable law, this Agreement, the Bylaws, or by the direction of the Governing Board or the Chair. At the first regular meeting of the Governing Board, a Governing Board Representative shall be elected to the position of Chair by the Governing Board, and a different-Governing Board Representative shall be elected to the position of Vice Chair of the Governing Board. The terms of office of the Chair and Vice Chair elected at the first regular meeting of the Governing Board shall continue through the first July 1 of their terms and expire on the second July 1, and elections to determine their successors shall not be held until the first regular meeting of the May preceding the second July 1. Thereafter, a Governing Board Representative shall be elected annually to the position of Chair, and a different Governing Board Representative shall be elected to the position of Vice Chair of the Governing Board at the first regular meeting of the Governing Board held in May of each calendar year. The terms of office of the Chair and Vice Chair shall commence the July 1 of that calendar year and expire on the following July 1. If there is a vacancy, for any reason, in the position of Chair or Vice Chair, the Governing Board shall forthwith conduct an election and fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of such prior incumbent.

  • Chair and Vice Chair The Council shall appoint from amongst its members a Chair and Vice Chair who shall retire in the same manner as provided for members in Clause 5. The Chair shall be held in alternate years by a member of the Employers' Side and a member of the Trade Union Side.   • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • PROCEEDINGS AT GENERAL MEETINGS 23. No business shall be transacted at any meeting unless a quorum is present. A Member counts towards the quorum by being present either in person or by proxy. Two persons entitled to vote upon the business to be transacted, each being a Member or a proxy of a Member or a duly authorised representative of a Member organisation shall constitute a quorum.

  • The Vice-President The Vice President shall have such powers and perform such duties as the Member may from time to time prescribe or as the President may from time to time delegate to him or her.   • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.
