Common use of Electrical Certificate of Compliance Clause in Contracts

Electrical Certificate of Compliance. The parties acknowledge being aware of Government Regulation No. R2920 of 23rd October 1992 of the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act of 1983 (Act No. 6 of 1983) wherein it is provided that if there is a change of ownership of premises on which an electrical installation exists the user shall have a valid Certificate of Compliance for such installation. The Seller shall at his own cost obtain the valid Certificate of Compliance and deliver such Certificate to the Conveyancing Attorneys before date of registration.
