Eligible Employees Employed on Original Effective Date of GMEBS Plan. With respect to Eligible Employees who are employed by the Adopting Employer on the original Effective Date of the Employer's GMEBS Plan, Service with the Adopting Employer prior to the date the Eligible Employee becomes a Participant (including any Service prior to the Effective Date of the Plan) shall be treated as follows (check one): All Service prior to the date the Eligible Employee becomes a Participant shall be credited (as Credited Past Service). All Service prior to the date the Eligible Employee becomes a Participant shall be credited (as Credited Past Service), except for Service rendered prior to (insert date). All Service prior to the date the Eligible Employee becomes a Participant shall be credited (as Credited Past Service), except as follows (must specify other limitation in a manner that satisfies the definite written program requirement of Treasury Regulation 1.401-1(a)(2) and the definitely determinable requirement of Treasury Regulation 1.401-1(b)(1)(i)): . No Service prior to the date the Eligible Employee becomes a Participant shall be credited (as Credited Past Service).

  • Probation for Newly Hired Employees A newly hired employee shall be on probation for a period of six (6) months from the date of hiring. During the probationary period, the employee shall be entitled to all rights and benefits of this Agreement. After completion of the probationary period, seniority shall be effective from the original date of employment.

  • Retroactive Pay for Terminated Employees An employee who has retired or severed his/her employment between the termination date of this Agreement and the effective date of the new Agreement shall receive the full retroactivity of any increase in wages, salaries or other benefits.

  • REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN 1. In this Article:

  • Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.

  • Effective Date of Benefits A Subscriber is entitled to the benefits of this Agreement upon the effective date of coverage. The effective date will be assigned by Blue Shield and is the later of the following dates: 1) on the first day of the month following the date a properly completed application is received, and if underwriting is required when approved, by Blue Shield or 2) on the date established by Blue Shield if confirmation of a disenrollment from a Medicare Advantage plan or other health plan or policy is required before coverage can begin under this Agreement.

  • Effective Date of Benefit Termination Medical, dental and life coverage termination will take effect on the first of the month following the loss of eligible employee or dependent status. Disability benefit coverage terminations will take effect on the day following loss of eligible employee status.

  • Employees - Special Eligibility The following employees are also eligible to participate in the Group Insurance Program:
