EMERGENCY LEAVE FOR FAMILY ILLNESS. 1. A teacher shall be granted a leave of absence with full salary for up to five (5) days in the event of a critical illness in the immediate family. 2. Immediate family is as defined as a spouse, son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in- law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in- law, grandparent, grandchild, or any other person living within the same household as the employee.
