EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PLAN. 23.01 The Employer shall facilitate the procurement, by Regular and Temporary Employees, of insurance protection by way of participation in group insurance plans, subject to the enrollment and other requirements of the Insurer. Provided that said enrollment and other requirements are met, the following group insurance plans shall be continued or implemented: (a) Alberta Blue Cross Supplementary Benefits Plan, or equivalent; (b) Health Benefits Trust of Alberta (HBTA), or equivalent, inclusive of: (i) Group Life Insurance (Basic); (ii) Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Basic); (iii) Short Term Disability (income replacement for a period of up to one hundred and twenty (120) working days during a qualifying disability equal to sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66-2/3%) of basic weekly earnings to the established maximum following a fourteen (14) day elimination period where applicable. The Short Term Disability shall become effective on the first (1st) working day following the expiry of sick leave credits in the case of absence due to injury or hospitalization. In the particular case of Employees who have insufficient sick leave credits to satisfy for fourteen (14) calendar day elimination period, the Short Term Disability shall commence on the fifteenth (15th) day following the commencement of non-hospitalized sickness);
