Common use of Employee Working a Night Shift Clause in Contracts

Employee Working a Night Shift. An employee called for jury duty shall be paid the difference between the fee for such service and the amount of straight time earnings lost due to such service. When an employee is called back for jury duty, the employee shall not be required to report for work with the Employer: (a) on any day when the employee is required to report for or serve upon jury duty, (b) on any day in a calendar week when the employee will otherwise have worked or served on jury duty for five (5) days, or (c) on the employee’s regularly scheduled days off. When an employee receives a summons for call-in jury duty, and that employee works the night shift, that employee will immediately notify dispatch. Dispatch will arrange coverage for that employee’s night shift. The employee will then have to choose one of two (2) options:
