Employment relationship of shop stewards. A shop xxxxxxx elected in accordance with this collective agree- ment shall enjoy the protection against termination referred to in chapter 7, section 10 of the Employment Contracts Act. Compen- sation shall be determined in accordance with chapter 12, section 2 of the Employment Contracts Act. The foregoing protection of a shop xxxxxxx against termination shall continue for a period of six months from the end of the shop xxxxxxx’x term of office. The foregoing shall likewise apply to the deputy shop xxxxxxx when the deputy shop xxxxxxx deputises for the shop xxxxxxx. The status of a shop xxxxxxx shall remain unchanged notwith- standing any transfer of business if the business or part there- of retains its independence. If the shop xxxxxxx’x term of office ends due to a transfer of business, the shop xxxxxxx shall have the aforementioned protection against lay-offs and termination for six months from the end of the term of office. The foregoing stipulations on protection against termination shall also apply to a candidate for election as a shop xxxxxxx at the workplace, whose candidacy has been announced to the employer in writing by a meeting of senior salaried employees following the discussion with the enterprise’s management concerning the elec- tion of a shop xxxxxxx. Protection of candidates shall nevertheless begin no sooner than three months before the start of the term of office of the shop xxxxxxx to be elected and it shall expire with respect to a candidate who is not elected when the outcome of the election has been verified.‌ The shop xxxxxxx may not, due the role of shop xxxxxxx, be as- signed to work at pay lower than the pay for the duties the shop xxxxxxx held at the time when the employee was elected to serve as shop xxxxxxx.

  • Employment Relationship Employment with the Company is for no specific period of time. Your employment with the Company will be “at will,” meaning that either you or the Company may terminate your employment at any time and for any reason, with or without cause.   • EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIPS The ORGANIZATION, its employees, volunteers or agents performing under this Agreement are not deemed to be employees of the COUNTY, nor volunteers or agents of the COUNTY in any manner whatsoever.   • EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS What is an Employment Relationship Problem? It is a problem between employee and employer. For example, it might be a personal grievance or a dispute about a provision in an employment agreement.

  • Resolving an Employment Relationship Problem The employee and employer should first make a reasonable effort to discuss the problem and settle it by mutual agreement. (If it’s a personal grievance, it must first be raised with the employer within 90 days - Personal Grievances are explained further below). An employee (or employer) has the right to be represented at any stage. When a problem arises, union members should contact their local NZEI Te Riu Roa field officer for advice and representation.   • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • Working Relationship 4.3.1 Where there is a problem in the working relationship between the principal and the Board (including individual Board members) that has not been informally resolved and is to the detriment of the school, the Board, in consultation with the principal, may consider appointing a suitably qualified independent person to mediate or facilitate between the parties and/or undertake an impartial and objective assessment of the concern(s).

  • Employment of Consultant CONSULTANT will perform as an independent contractor all services under this Contract to the prevailing professional standards consistent with the level of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of its profession, both public and private, currently practicing in the same locality under similar conditions, including reasonable, informed judgments and prompt, timely action. If CONSULTANT is representing that it has special expertise in one or more areas to be utilized in this Contract, then CONSULTANT agrees to perform those special expertise services to the appropriate local, regional or national professional standards.
