EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION PROGRAM Sample Clauses

The Employment Verification Program clause requires employers to confirm the legal work authorization status of their employees, typically by participating in a government-run verification system such as E-Verify. This clause obligates the employer to check the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires, often as a condition for entering into or maintaining a contract. Its core function is to ensure compliance with immigration and labor laws, thereby reducing the risk of employing unauthorized workers and protecting the contracting party from potential legal penalties.
