EMT Certification and Stipend. A. As a condition of continued employment, current firefighters who have certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be required to maintain certification for the continuation of their employment as firefighters with the Town of Franklin. B. The stipend for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is built into base pay.

As a condition of continued employment, current firefighters who have certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be required to maintain certification for the continuation of their employment as firefighters with the Town of Franklin. B. In FY20 and FY21, employees will continue to receive an additional stipend for holding EMT Certification. The stipend will be paid bi-weekly as a percentage of the base pay. 1. The EMT stipend for FY20 will remain at 4% of base pay. 2. 2% of the stipend will be added to base pay in FY21. Employees will receive a stipend equal to 2% of their base salary. 3. An additional 2% of the stipend will be added to base pay in FY22. 4. The EMT stipend will be eliminated effective July 4, 2021 (FY22).

  • Medical Certification (1) The University may require an employee to provide medical certification from a health care provider for FMLA leave without pay when taken for the serious health condition of the employee or the employee's family member. (2) Medical certification may be required to affirm the employee's ability to return to work and perform one or more of the essential functions of the job within the meaning of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), after being absent on FMLA leave.
