End of Academic Term. If an eligible employee begins leave: 1. more than five (5) weeks prior to the end of an academic term for a purpose other than employee’s own serious health condition, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least three (3) weeks duration and the return to employment would occur within three (3) weeks of the end of the academic term; or 2. less than five (5) weeks prior to the end of an academic term for a purpose other than the employee’s own serious health condition, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least two (2) weeks duration and the return to employment would occur within two (2) weeks of the end of the academic term; or 3. less than three (3) weeks prior to the end of an academic term, the Superintendent can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if it is greater than five (5) working days.

1. a. more than five (5) weeks prior to the end of an academic term for a purpose other than employee’s own serious health conditionterm, the Superintendent Administration can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least three (3) weeks duration and the return to employment would occur within three (3) weeks of the end of the academic term; or
2. b. for leaves taken for reasons other than the staff member’s serious health condition less than five (5) weeks prior to the end of an the academic term for a purpose other than the employee’s own serious health conditionterm, the Superintendent Administration can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if the leave is of at least two (2) weeks duration and the return to employment would occur within two (2) weeks of the end of the academic term; or
3. c. less than three (3) weeks prior to the end of an the academic term, the Superintendent Administration can require the leave to extend to the end of the academic term if it is greater than five (5) working days.
