End of School Year. Vacation may be used by school year employees, not to exceed the equivalent of five (5) work days (normally assigned hours per day), with the approval of the building principal, department head, or program manager after the end of the regularly scheduled work year and before June 30. This provision does not apply during the period worked in a summer school assignment. Vacation and sick leave will not be earned during this period of time.
