The vehicles purchased through this project allow for a more adaptable and comprehensive response to wildlife needs. Helping to save these species contributes to the preservation of biodiversity, helping maintain the delicate ecological balance within the Texas Gulf Coast region. With healthier populations of these species, there is a positive impact on the region’s food web, ecosystem stability, and overall biodiversity. This project addresses and lessens emissions by incentivizing motorists to get their vehicles checked, learn about vehicle maintenance, and repair their vehicles. Repairs from this program will reduce emissions estimated at: Hydrocarbons (HC): 4-6 tons Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) : 5-8 tons Carbon Monoxide (CO): 102-161 tons Quantifiable emissions reductions are based on one or a combination of methods and assumes a two-year duration of repair.
