Common use of Equal Class Seniority Clause in Contracts

Equal Class Seniority. If two (2) or more unit members subject to layoff have equal class seniority, the determination as to who shall be laid off will be made on the basis of the greater classified hire date (District) seniority, or if that be equal then the determination shall be made by the earliest date of employment with the District in any non-faculty, non- student capacity, and if that be equal by lot under the supervision of the Office of Human Resources.
