Common use of Evaluation and Coordination of Transmission and Generation Outages Clause in Contracts

Evaluation and Coordination of Transmission and Generation Outages. The Parties analyze planned critical facility maintenance to determine its effects on the reliability of the Transmission System. The Parties will work together to resolve Outage conflicts and work with the facility owner(s), as necessary, to provide remedial steps. The Parties will notify each other of emergency maintenance and forced outages as soon as possible after these conditions are known. The Parties will evaluate the impact of emergency and forced outages on the Parties’ systems to develop remedial steps as necessary. Unforeseen changes in scheduled outages may require additional review. Each Party will consider the impact of these changes on the other Party’s system reliability in addition to its own. The Parties will contact each other as soon as possible if these changes result in unacceptable system conditions to develop remedial steps as necessary.
