Exclusions from Subsistence Allowance. Subsistence allowance will not be allowed for any day of vacation, unauthorized absence or hospitalization for illness or injury. In cases of short-term illness requiring hospitalization, payment of subsistence allowance will be discontinued; however, the Employer will pay the amount of lease rental agreements for a period up to but not exceeding thirty (30) days.
