Extended Tours. a) A scheduled twelve (12) hour shift shall be an eleven and one-quarter (11 ¼ ) hours of paid time, exclusive of a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period and a fifteen (15) minute unpaid break. Employees shall be entitled to paid relief periods during the shift equivalent to thirty (30) minutes. b) Not more than three (3) consecutive extended tours shall be scheduled. Such agreement will not be unreasonably withheld. iii) All proposed possible schedules have been communicated to the Union for the purpose of determining whether they violate the collective agreement. iv) An initial test period of six (6) months has been completed, after which a further secret ballot vote of the affected employees is conducted by the union in which at least eighty (80) percent of the employees indicate their preference for extended tours. Only ballots cast shall be included in determining the percentage of staff that agree/disagree with the implementation of such language. h) Extended tours may be discontinued at any time, by either party (Union and Employer), on written notice of 6 months to the other party. i) Where extended tours are to be discontinued, the parties shall meet to discuss the reasons for the change and its implementation. Affected employees shall be provided with six (6) months notice of such change.

Extended Tours. Extended Tours. L-7.23 (Applies to full-time only) Hours of work for those working extended tours shall be scheduled in accordance with the following: (a) The hours of work and meal breaks are set out in Article 13 of the Central Agreement. (b) No more than three (3) consecutive tours will be scheduled. If more than three consecutive tours are scheduled or worked the employee shall be paid premium pay for all days in excess of three consecutive days until such time as two consecutive days off are granted. (c) No more than eight (8) tours will be scheduled in any two (2) week period. If more than eight tours are scheduled premium pay will be paid for all tours in excess of eight (8) tours (75 hours). (d) Every second weekend off. An employee will receive premium pay for all hours worked on a second consecutive and subsequent weekend. (e) It is understood that a weekend consists of fifty-six (656) months notice consecutive hours off work during the period following the completion of such changethe Friday day shift until the commencement of the Monday day shift.
