Extended Service. 156 Upon application, a military leave of absence (without pay) will be granted to employees who are employed in other than temporary positions. This applies to employees who are inducted through a selective service system or voluntary enlistment, or if the employee is called through membership in the National Guard or reserve component into the Armed Forces of the United States.

Extended Service. The same rules as delineated in Article VIII A8.0 shall apply to adjunct faculty.
Extended Service. Extended service payments are payments by the District to faculty who are assigned to the supervision or direction of student activities or to curriculum development, writing projects, or special assignments involving hours of service and responsibility beyond the range of normal faculty assignments. Extended service units are units of value for each extended assignment approved by the Board. Effective January 1, 2016, the value of one extended service unit will be $968.42 (Nine Hundred Sixty-Eighty Dollars and Forty-Two Cents). This value shall increase regularly by the same percentage equal to the available COLA per the RAF for the Unit. Extended service units are assigned by management in accordance with the individual's assignment for a given semester. The assignment of extended service units shall be as follows: Each sport (men/women) shall have one Head Coach. The number of Extended Service Units for a Head Coach shall be eight (8) per fiscal year. The ESU’s may only be assigned and paid to the Head Coach, and may not be shared among any other coaches or assistants. Extended Service. 041 Extended service shall be defined as employment for regular duties for more than the regular contract year. Extended Service. 6.06.1 Extended service will be reimbursed at the rate of 1/185th of the individual's teaching contract salary, prorated on the basis of a seven and one-half (7-1/2) hour day for each day of extended service. 6.06.2 Teachers who cover classes of absent teachers shall be reimbursed at a rate of twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour at the elementary level and twenty dollars ($20.00) per class at the middle and secondary levels. Assignments must be made by or approved by building administrators. 6.06.3 Teachers who attend district curriculum committee meetings beyond the school year will be paid a daily rate equivalent to eighty-five dollars ($85.00), or the substitute daily rate of pay, whichever is higher. 6.06.4 Teachers who participate in District-approved extended service for curriculum or professional development outside of the school day shall be paid at a rate of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per hour.
