Common use of Extraordinary Leave Clause in Contracts

Extraordinary Leave. (a) An employee shall be credited a one-time entitlement of thirty-seven decimal five (37.5) consecutive hours of vacation leave with pay on the first (1st) day of the month following the employee’s second (2nd) anniversary of service, as defined in clause 28.02. (b) The vacation leave credits provided in paragraph a) above shall be excluded from the application of clause 28.09, dealing with the Carry-Over of Vacation Leave.

Extraordinary Leave. (a) An employee shall be credited a one-time entitlement of thirty-seven decimal five (37.5) consecutive hours of vacation leave with pay on the first (1st) day of the month following the employee’s second (2nd) anniversary of service, as defined in clause 28.02.paragraph 26.01 (j). (Operational: forty [40] hours) (b) The vacation leave credits provided in paragraph a) above shall be excluded from the application of clause 28.09paragraph 26.07, dealing with the Carry-Over and/or Liquidation of Vacation Leave.

(b) The vacation leave credits provided in paragraph (a) above shall be excluded from the application of clause 28.0919.10, dealing with the Carry-Over of Vacation Annual Leave.
