Family Medical Act Leave (FMLA). Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, upon completion of one (1) year of employment, a nurse who has worked at least 1250 hours during the previous twelve (12) months shall be granted up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid leave to: (a) care for the nurse's child after birth, or placement for adoption or xxxxxx care; or (b) to care for the nurse's spouse, son or daughter, or parent, who has a serious health condition; or
