Fax Machines. Union officials, in the performance of their representational responsibilities, may make reasonable use of the Service’s fax machines to communicate with management officials, grievants and other Union officials, provided that the Union official concerned has sought and secured the permission of management. It is understood that documents pertaining to internal Union business are not to be transmitted over the Service’s fax machines. It is also understood that bargaining notices and demands are not to be served by fax communiqués unless the receiving party expressly consented to such means of service in regard to the particular matter at issue.
