Final Decision of the Board of Trustees. The case shall be reviewed by the Board of Trustees as follows:
1. Board reviews shall be based on the record of the hearing and on any record made before the Board of Trustees.
2. The Board may permit an opportunity for oral or written argument, or both, by the parties or their representatives.
3. The Board may hold such other proceedings as it deems advisable.
4. The final decision to dismiss or not to dismiss shall rest, with respect to both the facts and the decision, with the Board of Trustees after giving reasonable consideration to the recommendations of the Dismissal Review Committee and the hearing officer.
5. The Dismissal Review Committee’s recommendations and the findings, conclusions, and recommended decision of the hearing officer shall be advisory only and in no respect binding in fact or law upon the decision-maker, the Board of Trustees.
6. The Board of Trustees shall, within a reasonable time following the conclusion of its review, notify the charged academic employee, in writing, of its review, notify the charged academic employee, in writing, of its final decision, and the effective date of dismissal.
Final Decision of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall meet within a reasonable time subsequent to its receipt of the written record of the administrative hearing. The final decision to involuntary separate a faculty member due to medical disability shall rest with the Board of Trustees. The decision of the Board of Trustees is the final decision of Grays Harbor College.
Final Decision of the Board of Trustees. 24.6.1 After the Board of Trustees receives the findings of facts, conclusions of law from the hearing officer, it shall decide whether to adopt or reject the findings and conclusions. The Board of Trustees shall base its decision solely on the written record.

SECTION G. Publicity Except for such simple announcements as may be required covering the time of the hearing and similar matters, no public statements about the case by either the Dismissal Review Committee or administrative officers shall be made until all administrative proceedings and appeals have been completed.
Final Decision of the Board of Trustees. The decision of the Board shall be in writing and shall contain findings of fact and the personnel action approved, if any. The findings may reiterate the language of the pleadings or simply refer to them. The decision of the Board shall be certified to the Superintendent or designee who recommended the personnel action, and he/she shall enforce and follow this decision. A copy of the decision shall be delivered to the appellant or his/her designated representative personally or by registered mail. The decision of the Board shall be final.
