Common use of Five Day Work Week Clause in Contracts

Five Day Work Week. The work week shall be forty (40) hours of employment per week divided into five (5) working days. The regular work day shall be eight (8) hours of employment per day generally performed between the hours of6:00 am and 6:00 pm. However, the starting time may be varied between 6:00 am and 10:00 am as required. Lunch period shall be unpaid, one-half (1/2) hour or one (1) hour as agreed on the project. In the event a five day work week schedule is being worked, the work week in which a statutory holiday is observed will revert to four (4) days at eight (8) hours per day.
