Flying Requirements. ‌ MR11 Hanger‌ The participant must supply details of suitable hanger facilities for two aircraft as specified in MR1. The hanger must be either close to the current Blackpool Ordnance Survey Flying team office or close to the alternative accommodation if this is part of your tender response. MR12 Air Operators certificate‌ All flights taken during the period of the contract are deemed to be public transport flights. Participants must therefore possess a valid Air Operators certificate and be able to supply a copy of this certificate as part of their response. MR13 Geographical limitations‌ The participant must supply evidence that it is able to operate within the UK as stipulated in MR1 MR14 Seating‌ Each aircraft supplied as part of the contract with Ordnance Survey must have seating for the pilot, an Ordnance Survey camera operator, and an additional Ordnance Survey member of staff (or a person authorised by Ordnance Survey). MR15 Flying heights – operating parameters‌ In order to achieve the required ground sample distance of the captured digital imagery, both aircraft may be required to operate between 2 000’ and 14 000’. For information, our normal operating height will be below 10 000’, but the participant must provide aircraft that have the capability and oxygen systems to capture imagery between 10 000’ and 14 000’.
