The main objective of integrating Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in this agreement is to promote innovation and creativity in the Caribbean. The innovation and IPR chapter contains detailed provisions on innovation-oriented cooperation in specific fields such as science and technology, information society, information and communication technologies; eco-innovation and renewable energy. The participation of CARIFORUM countries in EU framework programmes will be facilitated and promoted.

Focus on Innovation. This factor refers to the extent to which an organisation is embracing new technologies [32]. Seven experts mention this driver for blockchain adoption. Focus on Innovation. In the exchange of messages with Professor Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx, Series Editor of Springer “Studies in Computational Intelligence” series, the Organisers of AComIn conference explicitly stated that the Volume Innovative approaches and solutions in advanced intelligent systems will include high quality papers on real problems requiring innovative solutions in the areas of advanced computing, language and semantic technologies, signal and image processing, as well as optimisation and intelligence control. The papers should address approaches enabling radical progress and development of novel applications, which is the core intention of the AComIn project as a whole. Due to this reason, in the AComIn-2015 Evaluation form there are explicit questions to the reviewer, asking for assessment whether the paper fits the conference focus: Please, explicitly specify what the innovative aspects of the paper are. Is it sufficiently original? Is it relevant to the conference aim to discuss topics enabling radical progress or novel applications? The full text of the Evaluation form is given in Annex 3. The preliminary review of extended abstracts suggests that 20-25 papers with high quality might be selected for publication in the Springer Volume, after second review of the full paper versions. This means that the selection rate of the conference will be about 50%.

  • Faculty Development Faculty who develop and/or teach Distance Education courses shall be provided with reasonable technical support and opportunities for Faculty development, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.

  • Software Development Software designs, prototypes, and all documentation for the final designs developed under this agreement must be made fully transferable upon direction of NSF. NSF may make the software design, prototype, and documentation for the final design available to competitors for review during any anticipated re-competition of the project.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.

  • Research and Development (i) Advice and assistance in relation to research and development of Party B;

  • Technology Transfer Subject to the terms of the Development Supply Agreement, as soon as reasonably practicable, but in no event later than the fifth (5th) anniversary of the Effective Date, Alnylam shall initiate a technology transfer to MedCo, or to its Third Party manufacturer(s) of Licensed Product, selected by MedCo and reasonably acceptable to Alnylam, of Alnylam Know-How that is reasonably necessary or useful for the Manufacture of the Licensed Product, and shall make available its personnel on a reasonable basis to consult with MedCo or such Third Party manufacturer(s) with respect thereto, all at MedCo’s expense, including the Costs reasonably incurred by Alnylam in connection with such technology transfer activities. MedCo shall reimburse Alnylam such Costs incurred with respect to such Manufacturing technology transfer within [***] days after receipt of an invoice therefor. Alnylam and its Affiliates shall keep complete and accurate records in sufficient detail to enable the payments payable hereunder to be determined. Alnylam shall not be required to perform technology transfer to more than one Third Party manufacturer for each stage of the Licensed Product supply chain (i.e., Bulk Drug Substance, Bulk Drug Product and Finished Product). Promptly after MedCo’s written request, Alnylam shall use Commercially Reasonable Efforts to assign to MedCo any manufacturing agreement between Alnylam and a Third Party that is solely related to the manufacture of Licensed Products. Such assignment shall be subject to the terms and conditions of such agreement, including any required consents of such Third Party and MedCo’s written agreement to assume all the obligations of Alnylam under such agreement to be undertaken after such assignment, but Alnylam shall remain solely responsible for its obligations under such agreement arising prior to such assignment. Except as provided in the immediately preceding sentence, MedCo shall be solely responsible for contracting with such Third Party manufacturer (and any other Third Party manufacture to whom Alnylam has initiated technology transfer as set forth in this Section 5.3) for the supply of such Licensed Product and Alnylam shall have no obligations under such agreement between MedCo and such Third Party manufacturer. Alnylam shall use Commercially Reasonable Efforts to obtain any such consent in a form reasonably acceptable to MedCo.

  • VISIBILITY OF FUNDING FROM THE OFFICIAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE Unless the SAIDC requests or agrees otherwise, any communication or publication made by the Final Beneficiary that relates to the action, including at conferences, seminars or in any information or promotional materials (such as brochures, leaflets, posters, presentations in electronic form, etc.), including tangible assets acquired from the project must: (a) indicate that the action has received funding from the Official Development Assistance, SlovakAid and (b) display the SlovakAid logo. When displayed in association with another logo, the SlovakAid logo must have appropriate prominence. The obligation to display the SlovakAid logo does not confer on the Final Beneficiary a right of exclusive use. The Final Beneficiary may not appropriate the SlovakAid logo or any similar trademark or logo, either by registration or by any other means. For the purposes of the first, second and third subparagraphs and under the conditions specified therein, the Final Beneficiary may use the SlovakAid logo without first obtaining permission from the SAIDC.

Oral Communication Any Public Speaking or Oral Communication course. Must contain at least 3 individual public speeches. Also, communication courses in Interpersonal, Small Group, Argumentation and Debate, and Intercultural areas are acceptable (however, some majors may require Public Speaking). Cannot be taken as a hybrid course. Personal Wellness Any physical activity course with a cardio component and instruction in fitness principles. This includes individual activities, team sports, dance, yoga/mat exercise courses, and intercollegiate sports. Activities with limited physical activity such as badminton, golf, bowling, etc. will not fulfill the requirement. Quantitative Literacy Any course from the Math department of the transferring school that has a prerequisite of Intermediate Algebra. However, certain majors require College Algebra. Please refer to the APU catalog to determine whether or not your major requires College Algebra. In addition, Statistics and Applied Statistics courses (e.g. "Statistics for Behavioral Sciences") with an Intermediate Algebra prerequisite will meet this requirement. Biblical, Theological, & Philosophical Formation- Philosophy Requirement Must be a broad philosophy course such as Intro to Philosophy, History of Philosophy, philosophy-based Logic, Critical Thinking, and Ethics. All other courses must be evaluated by the Department of Theology & Philosophy for transfer. Humanities- History, Literature, & Fine Arts Requirement Must choose one course from each discipline (3 courses total): History, Literature, and Fine Arts. History courses must be survey courses in world, western, or U.S. history (typically split into two time periods). Literature courses must be broad, surveys of literature that explore the literary genres of fiction, drama, and poetry. Fine Arts courses must be broad, survey courses in Art, Music, Drama, or Theater (sometimes History of Cinema, Drama, or Theater courses) covering approximately 100 years. These must be lecture courses and not studio or applied courses such as drawing, painting, singing, piano, etc. Examples of acceptable courses from these categories include (but not limited to) World Civilizations to 1648, Intro to Literature, Art History, Music Fundamentals, etc. Social Sciences One course from the following disciplines: Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Anthropology, Communication Studies, or Political Science. Examples of courses include (but not limited to) Intro to Sociology, General Psychology, Intro to Criminal Justice, Cultural Anthropology, Mass Media, etc. Natural Sciences One course: lecture and lab component required. Any basic course in the life or physical sciences. Examples of courses include Fundamentals of Biology, General Biology, Fundamentals of Chemistry, General Chemistry, Introduction to Astronomy, Physical Geology/Geography, Fundamentals of Physics, General Physics, Oceanography, Zoology, Marine Biology. Biology and Chemistry labs cannot be taken online. However, certain majors require specific science courses.
