Food Waste. Uneaten food and food preparation wastes from residences, cafeterias, commercial establishments and institutional sources. Glass Containers: Green, blue, xxxxx and clear glass bottles and jars (soda-lime glass) but excluding light bulbs, Pyrex cookware, plate glass, drinking glasses, windows, windshields and ceramics.

Food Waste 195 includes but is not limited to: meat, fish and dairy waste, fruit and vegetable waste and grain 196 waste. Food Waste does not include Exempt Waste.

Food Waste. “Food Waste” means all edible or inedible food such as, but not limited to, 300 fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish, bones, rice, beans, pasta, bread, dairy, coffee grounds, 301 and eggshells. Food waste includes: (i) kitchen and table food waste; (ii) animal or vegetable waste that is generated during or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of food stuffs; (iii) discarded paper that is contaminated with Food Waste; and, (iv) fruit waste, grain waste, dairy waste, meat, and fish waste.

Food Waste. Pursuant to PL 112-55 Sec. 734, an amendment to the Xxxxxxx X. Xxxxxxx National School Lunch Act, Contractor(s) shall make arrangements with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt DC-based food bank or charitable organization to donate any unconsumed food products. Pursuant to the law, Contractor(s) shall be exempt from civil and criminal liabilities to the extent provided under the Xxxx Xxxxxxx Good Samaritan Food Donation Act (42 U.S.C. 1791).
Food Waste. The Contractor shall compost food waste wherever appropriate and every effort shall be made to keep excess food waste and grease from entering the drain systems.
Food Waste. It is important to buy what you need and consume what you buy! Throwing away food, resources, and energy that have been used for food production are being thrown away too. Additionally, methane, a potent greenhouse gas, is produced when food rots in a landfill.
