Common use of For Bereavement Leave Clause in Contracts

For Bereavement Leave. If an employee is bereaved of a spouse, child grandchild she shall be granted a leave of absence of five (5) working days with pay for the purpose of grieving. If the employee is bereaved of a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, immediate in-laws, aunt or uncle, she shall be granted three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of grieving. If the employee is bereaved of a niece, nephew great grandparent, she will be granted leave of one (1) working day with pay for the purpose of attending the services (interment or memorial). Additional unpaid compassionate leave will be granted upon request.
