Common use of Full-Time Equivalent Clause in Contracts

Full-Time Equivalent. For purposes of determining when adjunct faculty members are teaching the equivalent of one full-time faculty member (a “full-time equivalent”), the normal teaching load of the school involved is used. In the College of Professional Studies, adjuncts teach a full-time equivalent for every twelve (12) credits taught. In all other colleges, adjuncts teach a full-time equivalent load for every nine (9) credits taught.
