Future Work. The Parties to this Collective Agreement recognize the changing nature of the public transportation industry and agree that those changes call for the introduction of innovative and creative means of delivering those services in a cost effective and efficient manner. Therefore, notwithstanding the exclusions contained in Article 2.07.1 (4), the Parties agree to establish a joint committee (Alternative Service Committee) charged with the responsibility to explore, and where feasible, recommend to BC Transit, alternative public transportation service models and methods of designing and implementing these services in-house in a cost-effective manner rather than contracting out operations.
