Common use of General Discretionary Leave Clause in Contracts

General Discretionary Leave. 14.8.1. Additional leaves of absence may be granted by the School Division with pay and with benefits, with pay and without benefits, without pay and with benefits or without pay and without benefits at the discretion of the School Division.

Additional leaves of absence may be granted by the School Division with pay and with benefits, with pay and without benefits, without pay and with benefits or without pay and without benefits School Division’s contributions to health plan premiums at the discretion of the School Division.

Teachers accessing a general discretionary leave of absence will be returned to their assignment where possible and without benefits at available if the discretion of leave is within the School Divisionsame school year. Leaves that extend beyond the school year will not be guaranteed a return to their previous assignment. A written rationale will be provided in cases whereby a teacher is not returned to their assignment.

Additional leaves of absence may be granted by the School Division with pay and with benefits, with pay and without benefits, or without pay and with benefits or without pay and without benefits at School Division contribution to the discretion benefit plans as determined by the length of the leave pursuant to Clause 7.2.1.3.1, may be granted to teachers for reasons which are deemed necessary by the School Division.
