GENERAL EDUCATION CLASS SIZE. A. The District will attempt to maintain class sizes during the course of a school year within the guidelines and following the process outlined below. To the maximum extent feasible distribution of students will be balanced in regard to all factors (gender, ability, etc.) 1. The term "class size" means the ratio between the total number of students assigned to a class and the number of teachers in that class. Music, PE, or other specialists who may provide supplementary instruction will not be counted in the class size ratio.
