Combination Classes. A. Kindergarten classes shall be exempt from becoming combination classes.
B. A combination dual language class may only be formed in circumstances where there are no qualified bilingual teachers available. No dual language class shall be formed without the written agreement of the teacher.
C. Teaching assignments for combination classes shall be made by the principal after consideration of volunteers. The assignments shall be distributed equitably.
Combination Classes. 11.7.1 Where a unit member has volunteered or has been involuntarily placed in a combination class, that unit member shall have preference the following year for a vacancy in either of the combined grade levels, and criteria 11.5 will be used.
Combination Classes. Each teacher assigned to a combination class will be allocated a $1,000 stipend to be paid twice annually and $200 to be used for supplemental materials, substitute release days for planning purposes or other discretionary uses as approved by the site principal.
Combination Classes. The Board shall continue its efforts to limit split classes assigned to regular, full-time elementary grade level Instructional Employees.
Combination Classes. The District agrees to consult with the Association regarding the formation of any Elementary School classes that exceed more than 2 grade levels.
Combination Classes. 1. In the absence of volunteers at the affected grade level, the site principal and grade level team will select combination class teachers by seniority.
2. The person selected will not have had a combination class assignment the prior year unless no other options are available at the affected grade level.
3. The designated combination class teacher will reinstate to their previous grade level assignment.
4. Teachers assigned to a combination class will receive an additional $100 classroom stipend.
5. Teacher would receive $1,500 combination stipend as stated in Salary Article.
Combination Classes. Permanent, fully credentialed unit members who are assigned a combination class for the academic year shall, in addition to all other salary amounts to which he/she is otherwise entitled, receive $1,050 per school year of service in such a position. The stipend shall be paid in the same manner as the provisions of section 10.5.1 of this agreement.
Combination Classes. Special consideration will be given to a unit member who is assigned an elementary combination class, or at the secondary level assigned to teach more than one course in the same period, exclusive of special programs. Such consideration will be dictated by the particular accommodation necessitated by the assigned class and may include those provisions as itemized in section F of this article.
Combination Classes. Black leotard for girls (no sleeves), Pink Tights, Pink ballet shoes, hair in bun. Skirts & leg warmers are optional. Boys – Black pants, white shirt, black ballet shoes. If the class includes tap dance – bring black tap shoes that the student will not have to lace up (snaps or elastic bands preferred).
Combination Classes. Elementary bargaining unit members with a combination class assignment, shall receive an annual stipend of $2018 as listed on the stipend schedule. Combination classes shall be open for volunteers. In the absence of volunteers, site administrators shall assign a unit member to said assignment based upon the reassignment language and procedures.
