General Education Requirement. The set of courses (sometimes referred to as the Liberal Arts Core) that all students must take as a requirement for a four year degree. These courses are generally completed during the first two years of college. Transfer Compact students are intended to complete most, if not all, general education requirements of the receiving university at the sending community college.
