GENERAL PURPOSE STATEMENT. The Redeveloper, Agency and City recognize that the Norwalk business community has a significant number of disadvantaged small businesses that, if permitted to participate in the construction of the Project contemplated by this Agreement, would benefit both the businesses themselves and the Norwalk community at large. Therefore, the Agency and City shall require and the Redeveloper has agreed to use Good Faith Efforts to utilize disadvantaged small businesses, with an emphasis on those located in the Norwalk community, in the construction of the Project in accordance with the terms of this Article VII.
GENERAL PURPOSE STATEMENT. The Lakeview Community Room’s purpose is to serve the general public. The facility shall be generally available for use by area civic, charitable, or non-profit organizations and for public and private meetings or parties. The facility shall not be used for profit-making activities or any other activity not consistent with this general purpose statement. RENTAL FEE SCHEDULE General Rates $75 for a 3-hour rental; add $25 for each additional hour. A full day rental is $325. Non-Profit Rates (for Educational and/or Non-Profit Groups/Organizations) $50 for a 3-hour rental; add $10 for each additional hour. A full day rental is $125. To request non-profit rates, submit a paper application with proof of non-profit status RESERVATION PROCEDURES For the General Public: On the first day of business in December, requests from individuals/groups will be accepted by paper application for the coming calendar year. For fairness, all requests received on or before the opening day of reservations must be accompanied by a completed Lakeview Room Rental Agreement and full payment, and will be held and processed at the close of business. No online or phone reservations will be taken. Where we receive multiple requests for same date/time, these will be processed by random drawing. Following the opening day of reservations, all requests (online, phone or mail) are handled on a first-come, first served basis. Online and paper reservations are available. Phone reservations may be tentatively scheduled and held for 7 days. If the rental agreement and rental fee are not received within 7 days, the reservation is canceled.

  • Purpose Statement Abuse of drugs and alcohol is a nationwide problem. It affects persons of every age, race, sex and ethnic group. It poses risks to the health and safety of employees of the City of Minneapolis and to the public. To reduce those risks, the City has adopted this LOA concerning drugs and alcohol in the workplace. This LOA establishes standards concerning drugs and alcohol which all employees must meet and it establishes a testing procedure to ensure that those standards are met. This drug and alcohol testing LOA is intended to conform to the provisions of the Minnesota Drug and Alcohol Testing in the Workplace Act (Minnesota Statutes §181.950 through 181.957), as well as the requirements of the federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-690, Title V, Subtitle D) and related federal regulations. Nothing in this LOA shall be construed as a limitation upon the Employer's obligation to comply with federal law and regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing. The Human Resources Director is directed to develop and maintain procedures for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of this LOA and to establish training on this LOA and applicable law.

  • Public Posting of Approved Users’ Research Use Statement The PI agrees that information about themselves and the approved research use will be posted publicly on the dbGaP website. The information includes the PI’s name and Requester, project name, Research Use Statement, and a Non-Technical Summary of the Research Use Statement. In addition, and if applicable, this information may include the Cloud Computing Use Statement and name of the CSP or PCS. Citations of publications resulting from the use of controlled-access datasets obtained through this DAR may also be posted on the dbGaP website.

  • General Reporting Requirement If the total value of your currently active grants, cooperative agreements, and procurement contracts from all Federal awarding agencies exceeds $10,000,000 for any period of time during the period of performance of this Federal award, then you as the recipient during that period of time must maintain the currency of information reported to the System for Award Management (XXX) that is made available in the designated integrity and performance system (currently the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS)) about civil, criminal, or administrative proceedings described in paragraph 2 of this award term and condition. This is a statutory requirement under section 872 of Public Law 110-417, as amended (41 U.S.C. 2313). As required by section 3010 of Public Law 111-212, all information posted in the designated integrity and performance system on or after April 15, 2011, except past performance reviews required for Federal procurement contracts, will be publicly available.

  • FALSE STATEMENTS CONCERNING HIGHWAY PROJECTS T h i s p r o v i s i o n i s applicable to all Federal-aid construction contracts and to all related subcontracts. In order to assure high quality and durable construction in conformity with approved plans and specifications and a high degree of reliability on statements and representations made by engineers, contractors, suppliers, and workers on Federal- aid highway projects, it is essential that all persons concerned with the project perform their functions as carefully, thoroughly, and honestly as possible. Willful falsification, distortion, or misrepresentation with respect to any facts related to the project is a violation of Federal law. To prevent any misunderstanding regarding the seriousness of these and similar acts, Form FHWA-1022 shall be posted on each Federal-aid highway project (23 CFR 635) in one or more places where it is readily available to all persons concerned with the project: 18 U.S.C. 1020 reads as follows: "Whoever, being an officer, agent, or employee of the United States, or of any State or Territory, or whoever, whether a person, association, firm, or corporation, knowingly makes any false statement, false representation, or false report as to the character, quality, quantity, or cost of the material used or to be used, or the quantity or quality of the work performed or to be performed, or the cost thereof in connection with the submission of plans, maps, specifications, contracts, or costs of construction on any highway or related project submitted for approval to the Secretary of Transportation; or Whoever knowingly makes any false statement, false representation, false report or false claim with respect to the character, quality, quantity, or cost of any work performed or to be performed, or materials furnished or to be furnished, in connection with the construction of any highway or related project approved by the Secretary of Transportation; or Whoever knowingly makes any false statement or false representation as to material fact in any statement, certificate, or report submitted pursuant to provisions of the Federal-aid Roads Act approved July 1, 1916, (39 Stat. 355), as amended and supplemented; Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years or both."

  • Initial Forecasts/Trunking Requirements Because Verizon’s trunking requirements will, at least during an initial period, be dependent on the Customer segments and service segments within Customer segments to whom CSTC decides to market its services, Verizon will be largely dependent on CSTC to provide accurate trunk forecasts for both inbound (from Verizon) and outbound (to Verizon) traffic. Verizon will, as an initial matter, provide the same number of trunks to terminate Reciprocal Compensation Traffic to CSTC as CSTC provides to terminate Reciprocal Compensation Traffic to Verizon. At Verizon’s discretion, when CSTC expressly identifies particular situations that are expected to produce traffic that is substantially skewed in either the inbound or outbound direction, Verizon will provide the number of trunks CSTC suggests; provided, however, that in all cases Verizon’s provision of the forecasted number of trunks to CSTC is conditioned on the following: that such forecast is based on reasonable engineering criteria, there are no capacity constraints, and CSTC’s previous forecasts have proven to be reliable and accurate.

  • False Statements Contractor represents and warrants that all statements and information prepared and submitted by Contractor in this Contract and any related Solicitation Response are current, complete, true, and accurate. Contractor acknowledges any false statement or material misrepresentation made by Contractor during the performance of this Contract or any related Solicitation is a material breach of contract and may void this Contract. Further, Contractor understands, acknowledges, and agrees that any false representation or any failure to comply with a representation, warranty, or certification made by Contractor is subject to all civil and criminal consequences provided at law or in equity including, but not limited to, immediate termination of this Contract.
