Grievance Procedure - Step Four. a. Within fifteen (15) work days after receiving the decision of the superintendent, an appeal of the decision may be made to the Elkhart Community Schools Board of Trustees. The Board shall then schedule an evidentiary hearing, with witnesses as necessary, on the grievance after receipt of the appeal. b. The hearing shall be held at a regular or special meeting of the Board of Trustees. The hearing shall be held at a mutually agreeable time and place which will afford a fair and reasonable opportunity for all persons, including witnesses, entitled to be present to attend. c. The Board shall render their decision in writing to the Association president and the grievant not more than 30 work days after the hearing has been held and after the first subsequent regular meeting following the hearing.
