Common use of Health Care Insurance for Retirees Clause in Contracts

Health Care Insurance for Retirees. Employees who retire under the auspices of the county retirement system, by moving directly from active status to retired status may elect to be covered under the hospitalization, surgical, medical plan offered to county employees, provided they pay fifty percent (50%) of the medical insurance premium. Retirees may also elect to have dependent medical insurance coverage provided they pay the entire insurance premium, less fifty percent (50%) of the premium for a single employee.
