HIRING, PROMOTION and TRANSFER. 8.01 The company shall post a notice of all permanent vacant positions within the bargaining unit for a period of six (6) days. Applications from interested employees must be made to the President during this six day period. All qualified internal applicants shall be granted an interview. Applications from employees who have successfully applied for a permanent vacancy in the prior 12 months need not be considered by the company.
