Common use of Holiday Compensation at Termination Clause in Contracts

Holiday Compensation at Termination. If an employee leaves the Sheriff’s Office during the year, the employee will be eligible to have used or be paid for eight (8) hours of holiday leave for each full calendar month of employment during that year. If the employee has utilized holiday compensation in excess of that permitted based upon the above accrual rate, the excess hours will be withheld from the employee’s final paycheck.
