Holiday Compensation. 1. Those employees working a five-day per week schedule with Saturdays and Sundays as normal days off shall receive cash payment for eight (8) hours per holiday subject to the conditions of this article. 2. Those employees not working a five-day per week schedule with Saturdays and Sundays as normal days off whose normal day off falls on an official holiday shall receive eight (8) hours Holiday Credit. 3. Holiday Credit may be accumulated to a maximum of sixty (60) straight-time hours. Use of such time shall be treated as if it were Compensatory Time Off (CTO). An employee shall receive cash payment at the equivalent rate accrued in excess of sixty (60) hours. However, the department head may, upon the request of the employee and with the concurrence of the Personnel Director, extend the limit on accrued holiday time. 4. An employee who does not work on the holiday must be in a paid status the working day before and the working day after the holiday to be eligible to receive credit for the holiday. An employee who is hired and commences working on the holiday shall receive holiday compensation.

Holiday Compensation. With the exception of the personal holiday, when an employee is required or is authorized by the employer to work on the holidays recognized in this Article, the employer shall provide payment at straight time for the first eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), or 12 hours worked and shall add eight (8), nine (9), ten (10) or 12 hours of leave time to the employee's annual leave accumulation. For all hours worked over eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), or 12, the employee shall be paid at the overtime rate. Employees who call in sick on a holiday will be carried as sick and payroll will post off in-lieu of holiday- sick. Sick accruals will not be deducted, but this sick leave will count toward bonus time eligibility. Employees who are off-duty on workers’ compensation shall be considered off in lieu of the holiday.
Holiday Compensation. Employees who are offshore, or who are registered at the heliport for departure, or who are in agreed transit on the following days shall be compensated in the amount of NOK 2200 per day: New Year's Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, as well as 1 May and 17 May. Employees who are offshore after 12:00 on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve shall be compensated in the same manner.
