Holiday Observed – Full-Time Employees. Full-time employees on regular 4/10, 9/80, flexible, and alternate work schedules are entitled to observe a holiday (eight [8] hours off), without a reduction in pay, whenever a holiday is observed by the County.

When a full-time employee is scheduled to work less than eight (8) hours on a holiday and the employee observes the holiday, the employee is also entitled to receive flexible pay or flexible compensation time at the rate one (1.0) times his/her base rate of pay (not including differentials) for the difference between eight (8) hours and the hours the employee was scheduled to work on the holiday.
