HOLIDAYS AND LEAVE‌ F1 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. ‌ F1.1 The following days shall be observed as public holidays: New Year's Day The Day after New Year's Day Waitangi Day Anzac Day Good Friday Easter Monday Sovereign's Birthday Labour Day Auckland Anniversary Day Christmas Day Boxing Day (i) Where permanent or fixed term employees are required to work on a day on which a public holiday is legally observed, they shall be paid double time for all hours actually worked. If the public holiday worked is an ordinary day of work for the employee, they shall be allowed a paid day off in lieu. (ii) Staff working on Easter Tuesday or the last working day before Christmas shall be paid double time. (iii) Casual employees shall be paid double time for all hours worked on a Public Holiday, the working day before Christmas, or Easter Tuesday.
